i dont want to study anymore what should i do
I've lost all drive I one time had, when I was a kid I loved my subject area and wanted to report information technology as high equally possible then get a job relating to information technology, just now I just don't give a damn. I find the lectures boring and totally uninspiring, the work is a chore, I'chiliad dreading the exams and I only have absolutely no motivation. I thought it might be the subject, mayhap I've just grown out of it, I'm thinking of changing at the cease of the year, I just take to pass the exams to do and then, I already looked into it all.
But I'yard still worried, what if it'due south non the bailiwick, what if the change does no good, I'yard so unmotivated to cease uni. I don't want to driblet out because I don't desire to be working in mcdonalds my whole life, but I take no motivation to study anymore. I don't know what I want to do with life, all I know is I hate where I am now and I'm actually not sure what to exercise about it.
Anyone in the same boat?
I think you need to calm down and just relax for a few days untill yous go your motivation dorsum. But don't brand any rash decsions untill your head clears.
mate, this is only my opinion only your non going to practice well on a course you don't enjoy so if you still can't motivate yourself then become for some other grade. If you lot have to there'southward nothing stopping you lot leaving uni even for a number of years and so going back if it gives you the fourth dimension to call up nearly what you want in life - you may well go dorsum being more motivated and get a better degree (although it may well be a lot harder paying for it)
I've been similar this for quite a while and have decided to reapply because, to reiterate, you'll do amend at something enjoyable and stimulating than something thats dull and wearisome or has been made irksome and tiresome past the manner the class has been made (haphazardly in my case).
Why practice then many people think that the options are either go to uni or work in McDonalds for the balance of your life?

mate, this is merely my opinion simply your not going to practice well on a course you don't enjoy so if you nonetheless can't motivate yourself then go for another course. If you accept to there'south naught stopping you leaving uni even for a number of years and and so going back if it gives y'all the time to retrieve about what you lot desire in life - you may well go dorsum beingness more motivated and become a ameliorate caste (although information technology may well be a lot harder paying for it)
Yeah I hear what you lot're saying, that's a good idea simply I know I'll just bum about playing computer games if I don't do it now - another reason for staying. I'chiliad going to change form only I'm so worried I will feel exactly the aforementioned with that one. It'due south similar I've just totally lost all motivation and I'yard concerned the change won't make any difference.
I wondered if anyone maybe felt the same and knew how to get the motivation and bulldoze back? It's like I don't give a **** about anything any more than.
Maybe try and talk to some 2nd/3rd year students and come across what the course will be like next year? First twelvemonth for me was very general and nothing to practise with my master field of study (technically, I know it had actually!). It might become more than interesting in 2nd year.
I practice know how you feel though, I changed class and still don't like it - I'm finished uni in May and looking for a task that has nil to practise with my degree.
Terminate complaining and finish it. You tin can't always do what you like. And if you don't like working at McDonalds, it's certainly worth finishing your degree, considering at least you lot take a chance on liking the work you lot tin practise through that the rest of your life.
Also it sounds similar yous're unhappy well-nigh more than than just your degree. If you're so depressed nearly it, yous've got to exist focusing all things bad that are going on, on it. I mean, I admittedly detest my schoolhouse, but I take a very fun part time job and a wonderful holiday to look forward to, so I am not thinking about merely giving up on schoolhouse. Focus on the good things. And if yous don't have any proficient things, create them.

Why practise so many people remember that the options are either go to uni or piece of work in McDonalds for the residual of your life?
Exactly this.
Rather than give yourself ridiculous ultimatums and utilise them to brand your decision, OP, think near the reality.
University isn't the be all and finish all, and so if it's not for yous, leave. Otherwise, change course if you lot're not happy with the one y'all're doing. There'south no point doing something yous don't savour.
Get some sun, get outdoors. Then talk to a respected person already established in your field, in person. A well known academic potentially?
Thats what I did when I needed my motivation back. Went surfing and hiking for a weekend, talked to a respected bookish nigh my future/their piece of work/etc. Helped me...
What are yous doing and where?
ive been like this, im in my last yr of college and i actually want to exercise my course in university just ive got no motivation to sit the exams in my other subject, im seeing it equally a wate of time as im not gonna apply them, but ive gotten myself back of track, im behind with work and stuff but trying to catch up, what helped me was actually getting into uni and then id say look to the future and see what u desire. Mcdonalds aint to bad :P

Considering if you do not graduate from a university with a good qualification, which identify would desire you? particularly in this electric current marketplace
God I feel exactly the same!!
I literally cannot observe the motivation to piece of work at all. Same as yous, the work'due south a chore, lectures are boring and I'm dreading the exams!!

Yeah I hear what yous're proverb, that's a adept idea simply I know I'll but bum about playing calculator games if I don't do it at present - another reason for staying. I'k going to change grade but I'm so worried I will experience exactly the same with that one. It's like I've just totally lost all motivation and I'thousand concerned the change won't make any departure.
I wondered if anyone mayhap felt the same and knew how to get the motivation and bulldoze back? It's like I don't give a **** about anything any more.
What exactly drew you to the topic in the kickoff identify? Maybe study upwards more than on that and get motivated over again?

My mistake. Obviously everyone who's always got a decent task that wasn't in McDonalds or a fast food eating house must have gone to university.
Don't be and so short-sighted; this isn't the first recession we've always seen and it's certainly not the worst or the last. It won't terminal forever and at that place will be work. People have been getting jobs without having degrees since um, forever, and a degree doesn't even guarantee you a job anyway.
I suppose it depends on what your subject field is actually. Like if I dropped out of translation I'd have a really small chance of becoming one without a caste so I would exist stuck with a naff job.
Attempt and give yourself a pause and see how that goes. I suppose yous could alter if you yet feel similar this in a few months and and then if you drop out you lot can always go back.

Information technology is true that some people still can get a very good job with a decent bacon without a need for a skillful qualification. However, how many people can have those talent? What I desire to say that the employers start will look at your qualification when they receive your application form?
I was in the same boat but left information technology far as well late to do anything nigh it and now i'thou gonna be graduating with a crap degree - so my communication? Practise something before it'due south too late - a course you relish, definitely.
Please dont promise it will go meliorate and do zilch...

Thats rubbish! My young man applied to graduate jobs and they never even asked to see his degree certificate.
Most employees do not wait at qualifications alone, they look at what makes you different. Thousands of graduates will have two.ane and ii.2 degrees and so they will want to know what makes you lot stand out - this is what they will get from your CV.
