OUR STORY
Our Mission at Wood 'n Spoon is to provide people with the experience of eating healthy, fresh and nurturing food. We live in an era where so many people are geared towards "taking care of their body" and staying healthy. We are proud to be part of the pillar, which enables others to fulfill their mission and maintain a healthier life style.
At Wood 'n Spoon, we are glad to serve deli meat, which is Gluten Free & MSG FREE — as well as our salad dressings. All of our sandwiches & Wraps are made fresh daily. Our Salad Station is custom made for your taste of lettuce with the variety of over 20 items to add on to your salad for an affordable price. Gluten free bagels/bread/wraps and sweets are available to costumers who require to maintain a Gluten Free diet.
For Ice cream lovers, we are very excited to have the "The ice cream club" available for you here at Wood 'n Spoon on Oslo.

Eggs Benedict was just ok. Eggs were too done. There was entirely too much dill on top of the hollandaise sauce. Side... of potatoes had too much seasoning in them. Whatever the seadoning was, it was extreme. I could not eat them. Not happy there this morning. read more

We stopped in for the second day in a row and brought family today because the food was really good yesterday. However,... the service yesterday was lacking and today we sat for several minutes being completely ignored while tables that came in after us were served. We eventually got tired of waiting and got up and left. We are very disappointed since this isn't far from our house and we thought we'd be regulars. read more

I would gladly eat Wood-n-Spoon every day and it is indeed my favorite restaurant in Vero. The soups! If you're not... into soups, you need to reevaluate that choice. They rotate, so my first question is always what soups are on that day. The cactus chili,and mulligatawny have been my favorite so far; none disappoint. And I can't not order the Green Garden Salad with Greek dressing. I feel my health improve after I eat here and my spirits lifted by the kind staff who triple-check each order. I could not be happier with this cute little find in Vero Beach, FL! Wood N Spoon has so many amazing gluten free and... vegetarian options. The best part? I didn't get sick at all from cross contamination. I had the Lox Gluten Free Bagel and French Onion Soup. Both were absolutely delicious. I want to try more of their menu items! Went here a couple months ago and I've been craving that gluten free bagel ever since. read more

Very disappointing the cook made me feel like very unwelcome. She was bothered by the fact that I was placing an order... for 10. She hung up on me when I asked her if she would put the names on each meal. I feel sorry for the cashier/manager is very sweet. read more

Friendly service and decent food. My soup was tasty but my sandwich (the one that they advertise won an award) was... underwhelming. Not bad, but not unique. Too much bread and not enough filling. Especially that matbucha, I had almost none of it. A very thin layer over half the bread. I honestly couldn't taste it. I'd be willing to eat there again, but it's nothing special read more

Absolutely terrible. Ordered a BLT and the bacon was burnt. The bun was soggy. The tomato seemed old and dry. If I... could give minus 5 star review I would in a heart beat. I was absolutely disgusted with the food and the manager was so mean. She was complaining about somebody that was previously there in the day. I don't want to hear her complain about her previous guests. Than she was rude about is asking for a refill. I have been to many restaurants and usually leave great reviews. THE CHEF
Mike Wood is a native of Vero Beach who strives to bring healthy, fresh ingredients to his restaurant, Wood 'n Spoon. Wood graduated from Vero Beach High School in 1998 and has since had a successful career as a general manager and executive chef at restaurants around the country.
After receiving an associate's degree in culinary arts and bachelor's degree in business from Johnson & Wales University in Charleston, South Carolina, he embarked on a 15-year career managing restaurants from Alaska to New York City to Key West. His journey eventually led him back home to his native Vero Beach, where he met his wife, Helen. They have three children.
Wood is bringing his experience back to his community and hoping to attract customers to his simple, fresh, quick and healthy menu items.
